FAQs
Common questions.
How often are special online events?
Aurras hosts special events intentionally throughout the year rather than on a rigid schedule, along with free quarterly gatherings.
How do I know which online event is right for me?
Read the event theme description and trust what resonates.
Often the experience that catches your attention is the one speaking to what your nervous system may need most right now.
Are replays available?
For many special events, yes. If a replay is available, details are identified in the description and shared after registration or by follow-up email.
Can I attend online from outside Kansas City?
Yes.
Because these are online experiences, people can join from anywhere.
What can I expect during an virtual session?
Each event may vary, but often includes:
- gentle welcome and grounding
- guided settling meditation
- immersive sound bath
- quiet integration time
- soft closing
Some special events may also include journaling prompts or reflection themes.
What do people usually feel after a virual sound bath?
Many people report:
- deeper breathing
- emotional release
- heaviness lifting
- calmer thoughts
- feeling lighter
- unexpected peace
- better sleep afterward
Every experience is personal.
Can I join if I’ve never done a sound bath before?
Absolutely.
Many attendees are first-timers. You do not need meditation experience or any special skills. Simply arrive, get comfortable, and receive. Dorothy will provide guidance throughout so you’re not left wondering what to do or expect.
What if I’m not good at relaxing? (online)
That’s more common than you think.
Many people who join are carrying stress, mental overload, or tension. These sessions are designed for real nervous systems — not perfect meditators.
Do I need to turn my camera on?
No.
You are welcome to attend with your camera on or off. Many people choose privacy and simply relax into the experience.
What should I bring to an online sound bath?
We recommend:
- a quiet space
- headphones or earbuds if available
- blanket
- pillow
- water
- comfortable clothing
Think cozy, not formal.
Are any online sound baths free?
Yes.
Aurras offers free quarterly online sound baths as a way to welcome new people into the community and provide meaningful support throughout the year.
How do I join an online session?
After registering, you’ll receive the access link and event details by email. Most events are hosted live on Zoom or a similar easy-to-use platform.
What are Aurras Online Sound Baths?
Aurras Online Sound Baths are live virtual experiences designed to help you calm stress, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with yourself from the comfort of home. These include special themed events throughout the year, along with free quarterly community sound baths.
How are virtual sound baths different from Monday Reset?
Monday Reset is the weekly flagship short-form reset experience.
Online Sound Baths are separate special events — often longer, deeper, and centered around a specific theme such as emotional release, seasonal renewal, nervous system healing, or connection.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes.
Aurras offers online experiences including Monday Reset, a weekly guided sound bath designed to help you begin the week calmer, clearer, and more regulated.
Member Testimonials…
Thank you! The staff that attended really LOVED it and sharing with their co-workers. menorah Hospital
Oh Dorothy, that was so beautiful! And amazing. Thank you!
I see it is downloadable, but I also see you’ve written it is a 48 hour replay so I’m not sure if I actually should download it though I’d love to be able to listen to it again and again.
It was an emptying of self/pain and a connection with God in a way that I’ve never experienced. I was both there and not there. I was present and so was God. My spirit existed and so did God’s and they were as close to an attainable one as I can imagine. I just had to let go of everything that keeps me tethered to “what I know.” And the holding and witnessing was entwined with my holding/witnessing, being held by me, and God’s holding/witnessing, being held by God. I pray this shift is one of those that changes that path forward permanently. And if not, I trust that as well. Not sure I explained that well! But I guess I ended up trying. 8-)
Anyhow, if you see this, please let me know if it is, in fact, okay to download. Otherwise, I will not. I want to respect your gift.
Thank you!

2 years into Sound bath therapy
I have had the pleasure of experiencing Dorothy’s sound healing therapy for about two years, and it has been an integral part of my healing journey. Her sound baths have become my daily choice for nervous system regulation and evening calming routines.
Dorothy is an incredible human being who connects with everyone on a higher level. I still remember starting with her free 15-minute sound baths every Monday. Inspired by those sessions, I joined her membership, which offers a plethora of resources to choose from. I particularly enjoy listening to a sound bath before bedtime, which helps me unwind and prepare for a restful night.
I will be forever grateful to Dorothy for her gentle approach, inclusiveness, intuition, sensitivity, love, and compassion. Her sound healing sessions have truly made a profound impact on my life.
To anyone considering sound healing, I encourage you to choose yourself, start small, stay consistent, and get curious. Dorothy’s expertise and kindness make her a remarkable guide on this journey of healing and self-discovery.
I don’t know Dorothy very well, however, I like her so much!
Honest, direct and kind…oh yes Creative.
When I first started this journey I wasn’t sleeping very much and her sound baths relaxed me so much I would fall asleep for the most peaceful naps. I just don’t have the words to express what this meant to me.
The deep rhythmic tones were just what I needed!
I intuitively trusted her.
Her guided meditations are just enough but not to much for me.
She responds to questions and that is just one more gift of thoughtfulness she has been given and therefore, inspires trust and a feeling of safety.
Her music is just beautiful. The concept of bowls singing is definitely new to me. I have listened to some other practitioners of this art on the internet, however, they made me anxious.
She’s definitely gifted in so many ways.

Sharing my experience with you at the end of the sound bath and hearing your insights really deepens my understanding and helps me make connections I don’t see on my own. I’ve learned about the chakras and spiritual symbolism from your interpretations of my experience as well as those of the others in the group. I love when several of us in the group see or feel something similar; it feels like zooming out and taking in the bigger picture. The discussion time is an important part of the process, in my opinion.
