For some of us, calm can feel surprisingly unfamiliar. When the body has grown accustomed to staying alert, slowing down may bring restlessness or even the sense that we should be paying attention to something. This week’s Reset explores what happens when we stop trying to make ourselves relax and instead give the nervous system time to discover that calm can be a place where it’s safe to stay.
